Megan Buffington is a journalism student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. Most recently, she was a Dow Jones News Fund digital production intern with The Arizona Republic in Phoenix. She also previously worked for Nebraska Public Media, where she reported a feature story on the Hastings, Nebraska Superfund site, and the Pineandlakes Echo Journal. Before she graduates in December, Megan will be finishing her senior reporting project on sustainable agriculture in Nebraska and serving as the project manager for The Daily Nebraskan, UNL's student publication. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking and gardening.
