Students from the Glenn Korff School of Music entertained fellow students and public individuals Tuesday night with soulful jazz pieces.
Four bands of five to six students performed three pieces, each highlighting the student’s individual skills.
Each band played different pieces, with the instruments remaining the same. The saxophone, bass guitar, drums, and piano are among the instruments that the students played.
“The college puts on these performances every year, so it is like second nature for us,” said Andrew Sorensen, one of the performers.
Each combo lasted approximately 30 minutes, with each student performing a solo.
The Glenn Korff School of Music hosts jazz combos every spring and fall semester, with the students playing to their own strengths.
