Diamond Distribution, the sole comic distributor for Marvel, DC and Darkhorse closed for nearly six weeks beginning in the spring of 2020, which meant a lack of new releases. ICv2, a comic book trade publication showed a loss of 29% in national sales revenue from January 2020 into the summer.
