The Big Ten announced that Nebraska vs. Illinois would be moved from October 7th to October 6th. The game was initially supposed to be played that Saturday but will be moved to Friday, with a time to be announced later on this spring.

This isn’t Nebraska’s first time playing Illinois on a Friday night. They matched up in 2017 in Champaign with a Husker win 28-6. Illinois got the win last year over Nebraska, 26-9.

Nebraska is familiar with not playing non-Saturday games, too. This will be the second straight year that Nebraska will play more than one game on a non-Saturday, as they have Minnesota on a Thursday and Illinois and Iowa on a Friday later in the season.

Nebraska will kick off its season vs. Minnesota Thursday, August 31st.
