Photographer Reegan Stocker believes genuine relationships mean the most to her during photoshoots.

Generation Z, also known as “gen-z-ers,” are putting their own stamp on owning a business. Collaboration over competition is an ongoing trend for this generation of business owners. With the help of social media and connecting with customers and clients online is easier than ever.

Regan Karel, the owner of 168 Candles in Seward, Nebraska, began creating candles as gifts for family members, but it eventually turned into a business. Rachel Fleeman, the owner of Raine Company in Waverly, Nebraska, creates special designs of clothing and other accessories in honor of her Grandmother. And lastly, Reegan Stocker, owner of Reegan Stocker Photography in Lincoln, Nebraska, has been taking pictures of friends and family since high school. She fell in love with the hobby, which eventually turned into her business.

Caroline Franke is a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln studying Sports Media & Communications and Broadcasting.
